Frequently asked questions
Which curve should I use?
Smooth (exponential) fades start slowly and sound natural for music and ambience. Linear fades change the volume at a constant rate and suit short clicks and edits where you only need to remove a pop.
What if the fades are longer than the clip?
Both fades are shortened in proportion so they meet in the middle of the clip. The waveform preview shows the curve that will be applied.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The audio is decoded and processed in your browser with the Web Audio API. Your files never leave your device.
