Frequently asked questions
Does the pitch change?
Yes. This tool changes speed by resampling, the same way a tape or record played faster sounds higher. At 2x the pitch rises by one octave, and at 0.5x it drops by one octave. It does not keep the original pitch.
What speed range is supported?
From 0.5x (half speed, double length) to 2x (double speed, half length), in steps of 0.05x. The new length is shown before you process the file.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The audio is decoded and processed in your browser with the Web Audio API. Your files never leave your device.
