Frequently asked questions
What is reversed audio used for?
Sound designers use reversed sounds for risers, swells, and transitions. A reversed cymbal or piano note is a common lead-in before a cut or a drop. It is also useful to check for hidden sounds in a recording.
Does reversing change the quality?
No. The samples are played in the opposite order with no other change. Quality only changes if you export as MP3, which is a lossy format; choose WAV to keep every sample exact.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The audio is decoded and processed in your browser with the Web Audio API. Your files never leave your device.
