What audio formats can I convert?
You can convert any browser-supported input (MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, AAC) to a fixed 128 kbps MP3 or 16-bit PCM WAV. Decoding uses the Web Audio API and encoding is handled client-side with no server upload.
Is my audio file uploaded to a server?
No. All processing runs entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API and client-side encoding libraries. Your files never leave your device.
Is there a file size limit or conversion API?
There is no hard limit, but large files may be slow or exceed browser memory. Lots of Sounds does not provide a conversion API; its API and MCP server are for searching and downloading sounds from the library.
